"Giving Birth...should be your greatest achievement not your greatest fear" - Jane Weidemen
Thank you so much for dropping by, its a pleasure to have you visit.
A bit about me, I was born in Mauritius, therefore speak French and migrated to Australia when I was 8 years old. I grew up in Melbourne. I started my career as a nurse and have worked for various organisations over the years. I studied midwifery after the birth of my first child in 2008. In the field of maternity I work as a midwife, doula (birth support) and childbirth educator.
The birth of my first child plays an enormous role for choosing to become a midwife and the birth of my second child plays its part in choosing to become a childbirth educator. I love being a childbirth educator and provide birth support to families because I feel rewarded by the satisfaction and genuine response I receive from the mothers and support partners I work with. Working with a family during a milestone experience in their lives is a real pleasure.
I strongly believe independent pregnancy, labour and birth preparation is crucial in achieving a satisfied birth experience that reflects adequate knowledge, confidence and support.
Feel free to connect with me and gain a greater insight to my values and perspective on how to have a positive birthing experience.,
